About the role:

We have a new exciting opportunity to work as a BIM Co-ordinator Apprentice. This role with give you the opportunity to work for a market leading company, whilst gaining valuable skills and experience to ensure you develop to your full potential throughout the apprenticeship.

What the apprenticeship will offer:

As a BIM Co-ordinator apprentice our aim is to develop your skills and help you reach your full potential.

You will study for and be expected to pass BTEC Digital Engineering Technician (L3).

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities as a BIM Co-orinator Apprentice include:

  • Understand how BIM (Building Information Modelling) & CAD (Computer Aided Design) in the construction industry
  • Use 3D modelling techniques to create virtual drawings
  • Understand how BIM is implemented and can shape a project lifecycle
  • Create detailed drawings in a live model
  • Live the Balfour Beatty Values and Behaviours
  • Participate in Apprentice development programme and work toward professional status.

The following qualities/experience are essential:

  • Grade C/4 or above in GCSE (or equivalent) in English, Maths and a science based subject, plus 2 other subjects at grade C/4 or above.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good team working skills
  • Have the ambition and motivation to work within the engineering and construction industry
