About this opportunity:
On this apprenticeship you will undertake a Level 3 Utilities Engineering Technician programme. Whilst undertaking your academic learning you will also be working alongside our experienced teams to learn hands-on, work-based skills.
The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance of all South West Water (SWW) clean and waste asset types including Sewage Treatment Works (STW), Sewage Pumping Stations (SPS), Water Treatment Works (WTW) and other mechanical equipment on combined sewer overflows including quality proactive planned maintenance and reactive faults on mechanical equipment.
Other key tasks that you will complete in this role include:
- Working safely in accordance with Kier and client requirements
- Maintain, repair and install mechanical assets across the south west region
- Liaising with operational staff, electricians and technicians
- Actively be involved with risk assessments, COSHH assessments and other health and safety related tasks
