About the role:
We have a new exciting opportunity to work as an Apprentice Plant Fitter. Taking responsibility for the health and safety of you, colleagues and other persons who may be affected by your acts and omissions at work, and for the environment.
What the apprenticeship will offer:
You will also attend college and study for and be expected to pass SCQF level 5 Modern Apprenticeship Automotive within 4 years, as well as a number of other training and learning events, however most of your learning will be on the job, utilising the wealth of experience within the team youll be working within.
You will also have various other training opportunities, such as Induction, Continuous Improvement Training and Customer Service training. Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, we will look to explore further opportunities within Balfour Beatty and further development of you and your career.
What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities as an Apprentice Plant Fitter:
- To report to and follow work instruction from Plant Fitters and supervisor.
- To maintain, fault find and repair specialised plant & equipment under supervision and guidance.
- To carry out inspections on plant & equipment under supervision
- To be self-motivated.

- 3 National 4/Standards including English
- An enthusiasm to learn and develop within plant maintenance
- Pass pre-employment medical which will include a Drug & Alcohol test

- Work experience or Part time employment
