• Two-year programme
• £19,000 to £21,500 per year starting salary dependant on age and location, rising to £27,500 per year on completion, plus benefits
• London based, including a series of nationally based project placements
• Associate Project Management Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard
• 5 weeks management development training to develop leadership skills
• Membership with the Association of Project Managers (APM)
• Five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or higher (including Maths, English and Science)
• Two A-levels required

About the programme

We rely on our projects to be on budget, on time and – ultimately – successful. On this two-year programme you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of how we operate. It’s the ideal head start to become a project professional and with the right motivation and capability, a future leader of Royal Mail.
On the programme, you’ll learn the foundations of exceptional project management and work towards Associate Project Management L4 Apprenticeship Standard. That means working alongside senior colleagues to understand how different business areas work, how to improve them, planning projects of all sizes and learning how to make them happen. It’s the ideal combination of mentoring, training and on-the-job learning that will give you the experience and skills to build the career you want.

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need to be an expert before you join us but you need to be passionate about understanding how businesses work and becoming an exceptional project manager. We’re looking for people with a good head for numbers, sharp eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
You’ll also need to enjoy working in a team and be someone who prides themselves on doing a good job, as efficiently as possible. No matter what experience you have, we’re always looking for people who have a strong work ethic, are easy to work with and want to make a difference and learn in a hands on role. All you’ll need is at least tow A-levels and five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or higher (including Maths, English and Science).
