Williams Advanced Engineering are currently seeking Apprentices

Exciting opportunities are now available for enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for engineering, along with the confidence, belief and determination to succeed in a company that offers variety, interest and responsibility with great engineering prospects for the future.

This is a 4-year Apprenticeship where you will attend OAS in Culham in which you will graduate as an Engineering Technician. It is hoped that a permanent job offer will be made at the end of your apprenticeship.

We have two roles we are currently looking to fill as apprenticeships and these are for a Workshop Build/Assembly Technician and also a Quality Manufacturing Engineer.

As part of your first year training you will attend OAS full time with some keep in touch days held here at Williams Advanced Engineering. At the end of your first year at college you will then return and do block release to attend college.

Within a fast moving environment of diverse technical challenges, you will learn to interpret technical drawings and use a variety of materials and techniques and will therefore develop a good range of hand crafting skills, as well as the ability to measure and fit components accurately. You would be ideally suited to these roles if you are creative, have a good attention to detail and can demonstrate an interest in Engineering.

We are interested in applicants from a variety of backgrounds, who are committed to pursuing vocational qualifications in engineering. A minimum 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above is required including Maths and English. Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive support accordingly; this is including regular performance evaluations with the nominated manager to aid professional and personal development. Successful applicants will be able to communicate effectively, have a positive attitude to work and a mature outlook. A flexible attitude to work and hours is essential, as well as being a good team player.
