Joining the Finance Apprenticeship Scheme could involve diverse roles within Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Accounts Payable, Commercial, Business Assurance, Supplier Risk and Tax.
Each role will provide you with the opportunity to grow your finance and commercial skills at the same time as growing your analytical abilities. You’ll work towards your apprenticeship whilst rotating around some of our sites in core areas within Finance and studying through day release to reach the Strategic Level of the CIMA / CGMA accountancy qualification. To become a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), you need a minimum of three years verified relevant work-based practical experience, which we will support you to achieve in your early career.
WHERE IT WILL TAKE YOU
You’ll undertake a modern apprenticeship the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) standards. This exciting programme will develop your skills and knowledge required for your role. This is all achieved whilst developing your behaviours, as we are not just interested in what you accomplish, but the manner in which you do it.
As well as gaining commercial and professional experience, you’ll also achieve academic and vocational qualifications, such as:
Accountancy Professional Level 7 Apprenticeship (includes CIMA Accountancy qualification up to the Strategic Level). To become a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), you need a minimum of three years verified relevant work-based practical experience, which we will support you to achieve in your early career.
There will also be an option for a ‘Top-up MSc’ in International Accounting and Finance (to be approved) – dependant on individuals’ performance and business need
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
For those interested in entering the world of Finance, you’ll need 300 UCAS points/120 new tariff UCAS points, gained from three A Levels, one of which must be a B Grade in a numerical or business-related subject (Maths, Physics, Economics, Business Studies, Accounting, etc.). Level 3 AAT will be considered alongside 200 UCAS points/80 new tariff UCAS points, gained from two A-Levels, or a Level 4 AAT qualification. In addition, you’ll also need Maths GCSE at grade B/level 6 or higher; English Language at grade B/level 6 or higher and three additional GCSEs at C Grade/level 4 or higher.
