Our energy sector is going to see more change and excitement than anything that has come before. The rise of electric vehicles, demands for cleaner energy and the shift to SMART metres are all great examples of the changes happening right now. And we’re proud to say that we now only supply 100% renewable energy to UK homes.
But what’s next for energy, and how we go about managing it? We’re asking these big questions now, and searching for future leaders will have the ability to make those kinds of decisions.
Starting with a 12-week frontline placement will give you a first-hand understanding of exactly what we do for our customers. Which will help shape the rest of your four-year programme alongside the talent team and your mentor.
You’ll look at subjects like:
- Understanding the energy solutions market
- Sales pitches
- Residential vs. Business to Business
- Matching big initiatives to real-world operations
Joining different teams on different days, rather than staying in just one department, will give you access to all kinds of internal and external influencers and experts. That way, you can work on big transformation projects that require broad knowledge and flexible skills, instead of just taking on smaller task-based work. We also encourage you to spread your wings and spend a few months in one of our international branches overseas.
You’ll need a minimum of A Levels at ABB grades (or BTec DDM) and at least a grade C (Level 4) in GCSEs in Maths and English. During the scheme, you’ll be working towards a BA in Business Management – a degree that gives you serious credentials as a business leader. And, at the end of the scheme, we’ll support your transition from Apprentice to whatever role suits your career aspirations.
