About the role:
As a Trainee Building Services Engineer, you would work within the project team on a construction site. Starting as a Trainee Building Services Engineer you would assist with the engineering aspects of the installation of mechanical and electrical services in buildings and the supervision of specialist contractors, monitoring safety, programme, budget and quality.
The following qualifications will be gained:
HNC Building Services Engineering
Following your HNC you will have the opportunity to go on to complete a Building Services degree at college or university by block or day release.
What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities as a Trainee Building Services Engineer:
As a Trainee Building Services Engineer, you would work with others to obtain experience in installations, Safety, Q/A, Planning, CAD, Commercial monitoring of direct operatives, sub-contractors performance during project delivery and supporting internal project teams where issues arise. You will gain understanding of Field BIM 360 though project involvement with Project Managers and engagement with site teams, applying this to project solutions. You would also gain an awareness of project design delivery requirements and quality assurance procedures as well as have opportunity to learn from other internal departments for safety, quality, commercial, estimating, planning and CAD.

1 A Level / 2 Highers inc. Maths & English or NC Building Services (or related discipline)
